Welding and fabrication is a craft you judge up close: the bead, the fit-up, the finish on the corner nobody was supposed to look at. Aluminum, steel and stainless each behave differently under the torch, and all three get welded in this shop.

Photography on this page is representative of welding and metal fabrication work — it is not a photograph of a specific Late Night Fabrication job. Ask Nick for photos of work like yours, or come by the shop at 96 Pecan Ln #104 and see it in person.

Aluminum, steel and stainless — all three, in house.
Custom fabrication from a drawing or a broken sample, aluminum and stainless work most shops will not take, weld repairs that hold, and railings, gates and frames built to the opening that actually exists. All of it in aluminum, steel or stainless, out of the shop on Pecan Lane in Clayton.
There is no mystery to getting a job started here. The one thing that speeds it up more than anything else: a photo with a tape measure in the frame. That single picture usually answers the material, the size and the difficulty all at once.

The shop is at 96 Pecan Ln #104 in Clayton, about twenty minutes southeast of Raleigh, and work comes in from across Johnston County and the wider Triangle: Garner, Smithfield, Archer Lodge, Wendell, Zebulon, Knightdale, Willow Spring, Fuquay-Varina, Benson, Selma and Raleigh itself. If the part fits in a truck, it can come to the shop.
Tell us what you need made or fixed — a custom part, a cracked casting, a handrail, a gate, a frame, or a run of brackets that all have to match. A photo with a tape measure in it answers most questions in one go. Quotes are free, and if a job is not worth doing you will be told that too.
